Grant Anderson, Pastor of Care & Counseling
What
brought you to Redeemer? I had been on
staff at Moody Church for 11 years and the
leadership decided that they wanted
someone in Discipleship and Small Groups
rather than a generalist in Christian
Education. My resume was posted at TEDS
and I was contacted by Ken Anderson and
Pastor Bryers to consider the Associate
Pastor position here. I am so thankful
that God led me/us here.
Judy’s and my life verse is: I
Thessalonians 5:24, “Faithful is He who
calls you who also will do it.”
What is God refining in your character
right now? Patience.
Where is your favorite place to visit? Georgia,
where our family has spent vacations for
many, many years and Colorado.
What is your worst personal habit?
You don’t want to know.
What is your favorite book? I
don’t have one in particular. The most
recent one I really appreciated was, The
Emotionally Healthy Church.
What is your favorite restaurant?
Any and all restaurants…bring em’ on.
What would be your dream vacation?
Another trip to Europe, including the
Soviet Union.
What is your favorite food/meal? As
you can probably tell, there aren’t too
many foods that I don’t eat.
What is your favorite game? Some
table games but more often than not,
it’s watching football.
What is your favorite color? Black
and blue (characteristic of one of the pro
football teams from the Midwest). Just
kidding.
What has been one of your most stirring
times with God? When I’ve seen a
direct answer to prayer, knowing that Judy
and I were praying and others were praying
with us.
